First Impressions

If you don't have an account you'll need to create one before you can get going. It only takes a couple of minutes, and then you just have to do a quick age verification thing. Then hit the enter button and you'll jump into this world of big-tittied elves and orcs.

The loading screens remind me of the old World of Warcraft loading pages, except the images here are feature a lot more boobs. The screens give players little tips too to help them out with quests or provide a little character backstory, which is great for any nerds who care about lore and stuff.

Like with any MMORPG, next comes character creation. Choose your class; mage, assassin, warrior, healer and then you can customize your appearance; hair color, body type, facial features, armor, etc. You then begin your adventure in the starting area for new players which is like a small city.

The graphics were really impressive, especially for a flash game. While a lot of sprites looked similar to each other, everything else going on; like the scenery and menu screens were beautifully rendered.

My first impressions were pretty good. The game definitely has that MMO vibe to it, and even before getting invested I could tell this was an immersive world. There'd been a distinct lack of sex scenes so far, but the best porn games always built up to these in a slow-burn kinda way. Hopefully Gods of Hentai was the same.

Gods of Hentai Gameplay

Everything in Gods of Hentai is done with mouse clicking. You don't have to use the keyboard at all if you don't want. You click somewhere, you move to that location. Click on an object to interact with it and click on players to open social options.

There's a little box on the side of the screen that shows you your active quests. You start off with a quest to find someone called Brienne will hook you up with some gear and a basic sword, and from there the story begins to progress.

With that said, the story is your basic fantasy bullshit. A new hero arrives in town, and that town is currently overrun with monsters of some sort. Successfully completing missions rewards you with new abilities, weapons, training and of course, endless sex.

Battle scenes play out differently to most MMORPGs. All battles open in a new battle screen with different game mechanics, but once again, you can do everything just by spamming right-click on your mouse.

You don't need to put brain power into the game. You can pretty much walkthrough the game just by following the task list on the right side of the screen. As you make your way through the story, your character upgrades in authentic RPG style, getting experience points and gold coins to purchase in-game items. As far as RPG elements go, it's got them all.

How much does Gods of Hentai Cost?

Gods of Hentai is a totally free porn video game. You don't have to pay anything to play it. You just need to create an Eroges account and then you can play the game through the website.

However, there are in-game purchases available for those players who want to level boost or have an advantage over other players.

When you create your account, you also get access to additional porn games and a whole selection of porn videos too. It's not all hentai women either, most of it is good ol' regular pornography.

Pros

Creating an account only takes one minute. Verify that you're over 18 years of age with your credit card info and you're off to the races. Or just steal your parents card instead. Either way works.

The graphics are two-fold in Gods of Hentai. On the one hand, there's some amazingly rendered backgrounds, locations and sex scenes. The loading screens are packed with beautifully-rendered ass and boobs too. But the graphics during the regular gameplay isn't so hot.

Gods of Hentai claims to be the best MMORPG in the sex game industry, and as far as MMO elements go, it's got a whole lot of them. Diverse classes, interesting characters, gradual player progression. The MMO aspects of the playing experience are very well done.

All the classes seem reasonably balanced (something very hard to do in modern MMOs). As a mage, I felt I could do all the stuff that a tank or melee DPS could do.

The dialogue is witty and punchy. Characters are likable and distinguishable from one another. The story quests are easy to follow and don't involve too much fantasy-overload bullshit. It's not like Warcraft or Final Fantasy where characters have extensive backstories that involve a thousand other people.

For people who like PVP there's the Arena feature. Here, you can compete in one-on-one battles to capture slaves. These slaves become useful during PVE play to help you best enemies.

The background music is ideal for the game. It's not to in-your-face, but noticable enough to give the game an added layer of appeal. Music changes as you enter new areas of the map too.

You can play GoH completely for free. You don't have to hand over a cent in order to play the game to its fullest. This is a rarity in the porn game world. Pretty much every title costs a little something now. Getting all of these features for nothing at all is a fantastic deal.

When you sign up through the Eroges website, you get access to a bunch of other adult games and porn sites too. These porn sites are all pretty reputable too.

Cons

The characters during the main gameplay look a little clunky. The rest of the game is sleek and smooth in terms of character models, but it's just when you're moving from place to place that things look a little dated.

This is an MMORPG, but I found very few other real people playing the game. It seemed a lot of them were just bots, especially given that the public chat was super dead. There are multiple servers to choose from though, so it's possible I just picked up a low-pop one.

You might not realize it from this review, but Gods of Hentai is actually a porn game. However, other than a few brief flashes of nudity, there's not a whole lot of sex going on. Sometimes you'll come across a pair of used panties or a medieval sex toy, but the sex seems to be very few and far between.

This is one of the easiest games you'll ever play. Battles require no strategy. There's no need to team up with other players. You can join up with team members but it's usually overkill. You can blitz the whole thing in one session by just spam-clicking the mouse.

Not a whole lot of community spirit going on. Finding anyone to team with (although you don't have to) is pretty difficult. It really shouldn't be, not when this is branded is an MMO title.

When you die, you're sent to the nearest respawn point to try again. It feels like there's no consequences for failing. There's no penalty. Most games make you lose gold or armor durability or something like that. Once again, this is an example of the game's simplicity. I wish there were more challenges but it's a breeze to just steamroll the entire thing without effort.

In-game purchases. I understand studios have to make money somehow, but in-app purchases really grind my gears.

Should you play Gods of Hentai?

If you're a fan of MMO games, you should definitely check out this game. However, don't be expecting an overly-raunchy, super explicit hardcore sex game, because this isn't it. It's an RPG first, a porn game second.

My biggest issues is how easy it is. It's basically a visual novel with a bit of running and clicking. Fights require no strategy and there's hardly anyone else playing the game. But if you're a fan of upgrading gear, grinding materials and appreciating the occasional nudity, you'll do alright here.

I'm giving Gods of Hentai 3/5 stars.
